Reset the cross-service mileage indicator

Reset the cross-service mileage indicator

Golf has a mileage indicator. When a mileage that requires oil change or inspection is reached, when the ignition is switched on, in the instrument cluster in the periodic odometer field, the information about the need for a review begins to pulse. It remains active for 60 seconds after starting the engine. This information may have the content "service OEL" or "service INSP".”. In this form, the driver is called either to change the oil or to go for a technical inspection. Authorized Volkswagen workshops are in possession of a special tool to reset the mileage indicator. You can also do it yourself using the erase button and periodic odometer and setting the on-board clock time dial.
