Master cylinder repair
■ Remove the master cylinder (see description in the previous section).
■ Remove the screw plugs from the pump.
■ Slide all parts out one by one. If necessary, blow out with compressed air supplied to the rear socket. Put the parts back in the order they were taken out.
Wash all components in brake fluid or alcohol and verify. The surfaces of the pistons and cylinder must be smooth, without the slightest sign of damage. The internal diameter of the pump is 19,05 mm. The clearance between the piston and the cylinder must not exceed 0.15 mm. Any damage disqualifies the entire pump. All seals must be replaced.
The pump is assembled in the reverse order, all internal parts should be lubricated with brake fluid. First, screw in the front plug and insert the elements one by one, each piston should be previously equipped with springs, washers and rings. Finally screw in the rear cap.
