Remark, overlaps on the bend! – inscriptions of this content were once on articulated buses. Maybe it's not a very linguistically beautiful wording, because you can get pregnant, but it captures the essence of the matter.
When turning, the trailer of the articulated bus extends its outline to the outside of the curve, which threatens to rub against cars driving in the adjacent lane. Unfortunately, not all drivers remember this, or they don't know it, and as a result, bumps occur quite often on crowded city streets..
Worse, not all motorists are aware, that modern non-articulated neoplan buses, Solaris, etc., due to its considerable length and long rear "overhang", also "overlap" on the bends! During a strong turn, the back of such a bus extends quite far into the adjacent lane. If the driver of another car is unimaginative, will place his car too close to the bus, there is a high probability of a collision.
The described phenomenon is also a serious obstacle for bus drivers. If a car "sticks" too much to the bus, may prevent him from making a turn. The bus driver has to wait, until that car leaves, and in a moment someone else stands right next to it!
Meanwhile, the streets of Polish cities were built with a different volume of traffic in mind and bus drivers today have a really hard job.. Therefore, let's remember about the phenomenon of "overlapping" on the bend and keep an increased lateral distance from turning buses. Let's not hinder the work of bus drivers, let's not risk an unnecessary collision.
