Demolition of the Bosch starter type DW
The starter must not be attached, grasping the fuselage with the excitation winding.
■ Clamp the starter in a vice, tightening his collar
■ Loosen the two screws and remove the back cover.
■ Pull the mounting half-ring and washer off the rotor (-ki) regulatory
■ Remove the two through bolts and lift the commutator housing away from the body.
■ Disconnect the field winding wire going to the solenoid switch
■ Pull the fuselage with the rotor and brush-holder off the head. Pay attention to the felt ring.
■ Remove the three screws from the cylinder head (in earlier versions, two screws) attaching the electromagnetic switch.
■ Remove the solenoid switch with spring, disengaging the armature from the coupling lever.
■ Remove the rubber sealing wedge.
■ Take the coupling unit with the planetary gear out of the head.
■ Pulling back the arms of the coupling lever, disconnect it from the backstop.
■ Pull back the stop ring on the planetary shaft by knocking it in
■ Use a screwdriver to separate the snap ring a little.
■ Pull the snap ring off the shaft, thrust ring and coupling assembly.
■ Pull the rotor with brush holder out of the casing.
■ Remove the brush holder from the commutator, paying attention to the springs. The starter is folded in reverse order.
Using a paste with the addition of molybdenum disulfide, lubricate the teeth on the shaft of the planetary gear
